| Comments: | I had ummed and arred about going due to a snow forecast but decided to go and see
Edguy as planned in the end. I arrived at the queue about 4:50pm after stopping at
the supermarket for food on the way. The queue was still nice and short so I was
near the front. It soon grew rapidly though and the back disappeared round the corner.
It was a mighty cold wait despite being under cover. It started to snow outside too.
I was relieved to get inside to defrost.
 Primitai

The first support act was on surprisingly quick at 6:45! I'm glad I was at the front
of the queue. I was only waiting a few minutes. The bass was a bit overwhelming but
they were fairly entertaining if nothing too special. Once again the wonders of mobile
Internet confirmed their identity. The main singer was a bit rough and ready. They
finished after 40 mins to be swapped for some Soundgarden.

 Voodoo Six

Voodoo Six came on at 7:30. They seemed very similar to the first band, right down to
the rough and ready singer. So same comments as for them. I did get rather bored of
them so was relieved to see them go after 40 mins. By now I was already feeling rather
sore from the standing. Oh dear I'm not as young as I was...

 Edguy

Edguy came on at 8:35 to the circus theme music and dived into Nobody's Hero. Great
song! As were all the songs they played. There was banter and playing with the audience
at the start of lavatory love machine. They did a great job with this song which was
always fun to listen to anyway. They skipped a drum solo intended for after Robin Hood
due to a 10pm curfew which was a shame. But never mind. There were no special lights or
effects. But their raw talent made up for that! Near the end they played a short segment
of The Trooper in tribute to Iron Maiden. They finished the main sequence at 9:45. The
last song, Superheroes, was good. The encore was after a 5 minute talk. Another good
song choice. Then all over by 10pm.

Then a snowy but uneventful trip home. Perhaps Tears of a Mandrake was my favourite song
as that was the first Edguy song I heard and has always been great. But all the songs
were well done and worth seeing them again.

The setlist (bar the drum solo) was the same as the night before in Birmingham so I
