Sonata Arctica played live at Islington Academy, London, UK. This was never going to beat the spectacular Nightwish gig, but it was still more than well worth going. I still managed a few reasonable pics despite very challenging conditions. I did suffer with the darkness and motion blur but the image stabilization helped me get some pics without the flash. Nightwish played live at Brixton Academy, London, UK. This was the best gig of the year so far. And light levels were much better meaning plenty of decent pictures. See My review for my review of the gig and a setlist.

Children of Bodom played live at The Forum, Kentish Town, London, UK. Another good gig until the encore when a beer incident caused the gig to be cut short. Shame that. Light levels were very low for most of this gig so I found it even harder than at Lordi to get good pics. See My review for my review of the gig and a setlist.
